Golf isn’t as difficult as people seem to make it out to be.
It’s not easy, but it’s not difficult, either.
Think about this: professional athletes are professionals for a reason. They’ve dedicated their whole lives to crafting and honing their specific skill set.
If only we had simple golf tips, stuff that doesn’t take thousands of hours to devote to, to help us see marked improvement…[su_highlight background=”#f9f51d”]Maybe we do! Keep reading to find out! It’s very rare that you’ll see someone just walk in one day and become a professional athlete, and even then, they were likely very close, anyway. For example:
- Kurt Warner was a shelf-stocker before getting picked up by the Rams, but he was also an Arena League-winning QB.
- Ziggy Ansah didn’t play organized football until college, but he was a very good soccer and basketball player; a natural athlete, as it were
- KJ Choi was a bodybuilder/weight-lifter prior to picking up golf, but he already knew how to play. After hurting his knee, he focused on golf full-time
Yes, those are the only three I can think of off the top of my head. It really is that rare.
But that’s not us. We don’t get to spend 8-10 hours a day working on our game. We daydream about it, sure, but we don’t get to do it. Families, jobs, other commitments- we just don’t get to.
That’s why we need simple golf tips to really get the most out of what we can do.
For many of those I’ve helped, I’ve noticed just getting them to better understand- and maintain focus on- the fundamentals can go a long way towards helping them get better.
My version of fundamentals is The PGA Method:
Nail these three things, and many others will fall into place.
